Point 1 - Music videos demonstrate genre characteristics

Here the video is demonstrating genre characteristics by having a shot of the band performing together which is very suitable for the nu metal, rap music that Limp Bizkit produce.

Point 2 - There is a relationship between lyrics and visuals

There is a strong relationship between lyrics and visuals throughout the video. There is a simple arm movement which acts out driving a steering wheel as the lyrics say ‘keep rolling’. This is also done in a car which makes it very relevant.

Point 3 - There is a relationship between music and visuals

In many of the shots throughout the music video there is dancing. Not only do they dance actions relating to the lyrics but they are also dancing in time with the music.

Point 4 - The demands of the record label will include the need for lots of close ups of the artist may develop motifs which recur across their work

There are many close up’s of the lead singer of Limp Bizkit (Fred Durst) throughout the video. In all of these he is seen wearing his iconic baseball cap turned backwards which he is very well known for wearing in many of his videos so it becomes a motif which recurs across his work.

Point 5 - There is frequently reference to the notion of looking

For almost the entire video that the Fred Durst is on screen he is looking directly into the camera and often reaches out towards it which makes the audiences feel as if the video is being aimed at them.

Point 6 -  There are often intertextual references

The video is shot in various locations in New York city which all suggest having lots of money and having lots of fun with it.
