IQAIST: Improving Quality and Accessibility in In-Service

Trainings for Teachers

IQAIST MULTIPLIER EVENT IN PORTUGAL BY SULFORMA IN JUNE - JULY 2016

Accessibility of international trainings for teachers is received enthusiastically by

teachers

The IQAIST multiplier event in Portugal brought great awareness about Erasmus+ pro-

gramme among teachers that had never participated in the international trainings across

Europe. Our finding was that in these multiplier events with about 60 participants in Lis-

bon and Sintra, brought enthusiasm to teachers as they listened to the testimonies of

those teachers that participated in our training courses abroad and saw the exciting

PowerPoint they produced - a first hand account.

In all events we introduced a new international trainings platform created in the IQAIST

project. We also engaged the participants in the Community of Practice (CoP) – how to

find the right course, how to join the newsletter and how to get the best out of a course.

Participants also had the opportunity to see how the training courses were designed and to

know the criteria used in IQAIST international training courses. At the end we had a net-

working coffee break and in one event, we were honoured to have a voluntary musical

performance by teachers. Our event was attended by all kinds of education staff even vol-

untary teachers and state school teachers.
