• It is always the mission of the church to change lives in the name of Jesus and bring the kingdom of Christ into the world.

• The effects of true Christianity are not merely vertical and personal, but also horizontal and spiritual—communal as well as cosmic.

• The church is not primarily a place of preservation, but a place of preparation that should lead people into transformation.
