Junior Counselors- Students completing 10th grade and at least 1 year of CIT The CIT/Junior Counselor program offers special leadership training opportunities specifically geared towards middle school students. CIT’s will serve as mentors to younger campers and will have opportunities to plan and participate in service projects throughout the summer. Each level comes with different responsibilities and expectations. CIT’s will spend time learning why we have the rules we do and how summer camp is set up. They will plan parties and events, plus help with field trips. Students completing 10th grade, may apply to become Junior Counselors. They will provide hands-on support to Merritt Camp Counselors, gaining valuable real-world experience. Junior Counselors are hired for the full summer. Due to the nature of Merritt’s CIT\Junior Counselor program, students may include completion of this program as an internship or volunteer experience when applying to college, future jobs or National Honor Society. All applications are online and must be completed by April 1. There is a required orientation for CIT/Junior Counselor on Wednesday, May 30 at 5:00 PM.

Your registration for Summer Camp is on a week-by-week, first come, first served basis. In order for your registration to be accepted, all fields of the online registration form must be complete and a non-refundable $75 per child registration fee must be paid. The registration fee may be paid via credit card or e-check. The balance of all camp fees is due June 1, 2018. If payment is not completed by that time, students will be dropped from camp rosters. Balance payments may be made online or by check made payable to Merritt Academy. Parents may access their online profile at any time to make payments, access camp information or register their child for additional weeks.
