In Paayal Pur Ghudarni village, when Ragi Bulaki Singh read rehraas in sangat and read Chopai bani of tenth guru then Ram Raiyas abused

'Prof' Darshan Singh Ragi was excommunicated from the Sikh Panth in January 2010 for his blasphemous remarks on the life of Sri Guru

Gobind Singh Ji. Throughout his career, first as a 'Ragi' and later the 'Jathedar', Darshan Singh had performed keertan and katha from the

bani of Dasam Pita. During the turbulent years following Operation Bluestar in 1984, Darshan Singh regularly performed keertan from the

'Beer Ras' Bani enshrined in Sri Dasam Granth and incited the Sikh youth to take up resistance.

However, two decades later, Darshan Singh changed his faith. He not only started opposing the bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib, butalso used derogatory language for the same bani he once performed keertan and katha of.

Till date the turncoat Ragi has not explained to the panth why and how he decided to choose the path of a 'Guru Dokhi'.

In one of his loose arguments justifying his latest stance he said that earlier when he used to do the keertan of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib's

bani he did not understand the meaning of the bani, and was only doing the keertan as "any other Ragi", relying only on Amrit Keertan

pothi.

However, this lie and an absurd excuse is soon exposed when one listens to his earlier recordings where he not only performs keertan but

very articulately also does the katha of the bani in the light of Gurmat.

The following article written by him revolves around the theme of 'Bachittar Natak' bani enshrined in Sri Dasam Granth. In this article, from

his book entitled 'Ujaro Deepa', published just few years ago, Ragi Darshan Singh not only quotes extensively from Bachittar Natak, but also

elaborates on the meaning of word 'Tamasha' that appears in the bani. Ironically he is now denigrating this same bani.

It is quite evident that Darshan Singh was well versed with the actual content and purpose of bani contained in Sri Dasam Granth, which he

now shamelessly denies.

Now what really has transpired between the turncoat Ragi and his intellect that lead to his own downfall and his ultimate exit from the Sikh

fold is anyone's guess. A sinister motive/plot behind his sudden U-turn cannot be ruled out.

Darshan Singh has been shown the door by the panth. And as expected from the renegade Ragi, he still continues to create confusion. The

panth needs to be vigilant and have the relevant information at its disposal. And this is a similar attempt. -

O foolish mind ! Why are you absorbed in heresy ?, because you will destroy your se lf-respect through heresy; why are you deceiving the people on becoming acheat? And in this way you are losing the merit both in this and the next world;

You will not get a place, even very small one in the abode of the Lord; therefore O foolish creature ! you away become careful even now, because by wearing a

garb only, you will not be able to realise that Accountless Lord.19.

Question. Chritropakhyan is obscene where it is mentioned that if a lady solicits a man for love and if he refuses, then he will fall into hell.

The exact quote is given here from chritra 244, canto 20 of Dasam Granth. Is it true?

Answer. Yes it is true that the two lines quoted above are from chritra 244 of Chritropakhyan. But sadly those who have taken upon the job

of creating confusion and spreading ill against the Dasam Patshah have also stooped too low to play games.

The canto 20 constitutes of four lines but in the quote above it has been shown to close after two lines only. A simple reading of the full

canto clears everything. It reads:

It is a dialogue completed in four lines. This small piece is the reiteration of the fourth bajra kurahit, cardinal sin, which prohibits a Sikh from

indulging in extra marital relationship. This differentiates relationship with nij nar and par nar (legitimiate and illegitimate relationship

respectively). The last two lines are clear declaration, that if a person engages in any sort of promiscuity, then he will instantly plunge into

the hell of sin.

This makes the meaning clear and clears the sky from clouds of doubts being deliberately raised.

(Mis)quoting only parts of the sentences had been a pastime of the devils. This is exactly what pseudo nirankaris did when they mis-quoted

partially from Gurbani and said even Gurbani suggests that there is no use of doing paath and prayers.

But they deliberately omitted the following lines that gave a complete meaning to the above quote in its context. Namely falling at the feet

of the Lord which will bring the ultimate union with Him.

Similarly Guru Granth Sahib too has dialogues. And in order to get the true meaning of these dialogues, one has to read both the question

and answer in context. If someone is quoting one line or part of the dialogue then the purpose is obviously to create confusion and is a

mischievous act. For example in Guru Granth Sahib it is mentioned that Bhagat Nam Dev jis mother cajoles him to start utteri ng Khuda

instead of the name of the Ram. To this the determined reply of Bhagat ji is that neither you are my mother nor I am your son.

Now someone can just pick up the first line and start saying that Guru Granth Sahib is also propagating that the name of Ram be abandoned

and instead Khuda should be recited.

Those whose aim is to create nuisance can also distort the meaning of the following lines from Guru Granth Sahib

Similary, the canto of.. from Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is being distorted by omitting the concluding two lines. This isno ordinary omission or mistake. It is a deliberate effort to malign the name of Guru Gobid Singh ji and his banee.

MARRIAGE OF GURU GOBIND SINGH JI

"Mata Sunder Kaur (Mata Sundri) or Mata Jeeto (Mata Jito) was the wife of Guru Gobind Singh (1666-1708). She was the daughter of Bhai

Ram Saran, a Kumarav Khatri of Bajwara, in present-day Hoshiarpur district of the Punjab. She was married to the tenth Sikh Guru at

Anandpur on 4 April 1684. The father-in-law had desired that the bridegroom should come at the head of a marriage party to Lahore where

the ceremony should be performed with due dignity.

The fateful events leading to the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur intervened, and in the changed circumstances it was not possible for the

young Guru to go to Lahore. Therefore a temporary encampment was raised near the village of Basantgarh, 10 km north of Anandpur, and

named Guru ka Lahore where the nuptials were held on 23 Har 1734 Bk/21 June 1684. Mata Jito ji became Mata Sundari ji after

marriage as was the custom in Punjabi families. "

the sweetness that balances its fierceness. Mata Sundari ji (also known as 'Mata Jito ji') was the only wife of Guru Gobind Singh. Mata Sahib

Kaur, who was called 'Sahib Devan' before recieving Amrit, was the Spiritual Mother of the Khalsa, however some historians have

mistakenly confused Mata Sahib Kaur as having been married to Guru Gobind Singh.

Mata Sahib Devan's father wished her daughter to marry Guru Gobind Singh, however as the Guru was already married, her father asked the

Guru's permission for Mata Sahib Devan to live in the Guru's house as Sikh and serve the Guru and his family. Therefore, Mata Sahib Devan

was never married and never had a physical relationship with the Guru. As a consequence of not marrying Mata Sahib Devan and her not

being able to have children, Guru Gobind Singh made her the "Mother of the Khalsa". Up to this day in history, all Sikhs who take Amrit

consider Mata Sahib Kaur as their (spiritual) Mother, and Guru Gobind Singh ji as their (spiritual) Father. "

married to guru sahib from various people (speeches etc). in those times once a rishta has been rejected it was very hard to find a husband

because of the general perspective of the society. and since guru sahib was already married by the time mata sahib kaurs father reached

guru sahib, thats why guru sahib ji asked mata sahib kaur ji to stay and do seva for the panth as guru gobind singh ji knew about the

perspective of the society and that it would be very hard to find anyone willing to marry mata sahib kaur ji because of the general mindset

of people in those times. so guru sahib ji asking mata sahib kaur ji to stay and service the panth makes sense.
