Media production is a business that makes a profit. Media industries belong to a network of a few powerful corporations that exert influence on content and distribution.

Media Have Social & Political ImplicationsMedia have great influence on politics and on forming social change.

Media convey ideological messages about values, power and authority.

What or who is absent may be more or as important than what or who is included. These messages are conscious decisions and often they are the result of unconscious biases and

Each medium has a unique aesthetic formNot every media platform can convey the same the message in the same way. The content of media depends in part on the nature of the medium. As video music, news, commercial ads, non-profit social marketing, video games. Each have their own way to tell the story.
