2. Assemble anchor with nut and washer so that the top of the nut is flush with the top of theanchor. Drive anchor through material to be fastened so that nut and washer are flush with surface of material.
INSTALLATION STEPS
3. Expand anchor by tightening nut 3 to 5 turns, or to the specific torque requirement(see selection chart).
Trubolt Anchors
APPLICATIONS
FEATURES
Anchoring machinery and conveyors is a common wedge anchor application. The Trubolt is fully threaded to allow alarge range of embedment and fixture thickness.
Safety railings are commonly anchoredwith Trubolt wedge anchors because ofavailability in four material types for all corrosive atmospheres.
Pre-cast panels are typically anchored tothe concrete slab temporarily with Truboltwedge anchors because of reliable performance and economical pricing.

Fixture Thickness—determine the fixture thickness to be anchored
Anchor Embedment—with a minimum recommended embedment of 1", the correctTapcon anchor choice can be made. Holedepth must be a minimum 1/4" deeperthan the anchor embedment to allow fordisplaced material
Hole Diameter—proper hole diameter is very important to insure consistent performance and maximum pulloutstrength. 3/16" anchors require 5/32"diameter bits, and 1/4" anchors require3/16" diameter bits
APPLICATIONS
Tapcon is especially well suited forwindow and door frames because itperforms well in block, is available ina flat head style, and is fast to install.
Many horizontal or “wall” applicationsare attached with Tapcon because it isremovable and works well in block and brick.
The picture shows the Condrive 1000Installation Kit in action. The kit makesfor fast and easy change over from drillbit to driver and controls the drivingtorque to prevent thread stripping andhead snapping in hard base materials.
