Graduate Application Informational

What you need to knowHow to best prepareSchools and Requirements

GRADUATE SCHOOL

GRE- Does the school require it? Or other tests?GPA- Minimum requirements?Interview- Does the school require an interview? Letters of Recommendation- Note the number of

letters the school requires (usually 3). Note if they are online or paper format. Write down mailing address and have envelopes addressed when given to the recommender. Note requirements of who can write the letters, usually two professors are required. ASK EARLY and BE PREPARED!

GRADUATE SCHOOLExperience- Work and volunteer information is

asked in the application.Letter of Intent- Write down the unique topic from

the school website. Make it individualized to each school and answer the prompt.

Deadline- Know the deadline and get all application materials in well before! Check up with your schools because materials get lost!!

Transcripts- Document the number that each school requires and write down the address they are to be sent. Put in transcript order early since there are a lot of requests at end of semester time.

California State Universities

California State Universities- Apply to the school through

CSUMENTOR.edu by end of NovemberThe program will have a separate

application.
