Private Cloud Oracle Cloud
• Flexible Deployment
• Customer managed, and Oracle managed service offerings• Oracle Databases cloud services are available from Oracle, Amazon, Microsoft, and Verizon• Oracle’s portability to numerous OS and cloud platforms provides additional choice
• Leverage 30 years of Oracle Database Technology
• Baked-in security, scalability, high availability best practices by default• Leverage existing in-house and industry Oracle skillsets and knowledge

Enterprise Manager Deployment Architecture• EM agent is deployed in PaaS using current
SSH push mechanism from on-premise EM
• On-premise OMS talks directly to PaaS targetsusing HTTPS/SQL*Net/JMX over SSH
• On-premise OMS initiates requests to PaaSresident agents using HTTP tunneling over SSH
• PaaS resident EM agents talk to the on-premise OMS via a local proxy that routesrequests back to on-premise OMS through aSSH tunnel
• The agent-OMS communication path is createdby the “Hybrid Gateway” that acts as theForwarder
Benefits
• Minimal change existing for EnterpriseManager customers (only Gateway needs to bedeployed)
• OMS is hardened and secure fromcompromised agents or man-in-the-middle
