Office armchair - model Vip 135
Real alligator upholstery, not a farmed alligator (alligator mississippiensis).
This armchair was made from 4 mississippiensis alligator skins, the average age of the alligators
being 60. Alligator skins with these specific characteristics and origin are particularly
beautiful and show extraordinary features.
The treatment and tanning process used to prepare these alligator skins are traditional and include 6 stages performed over about 60 days. This particular process ensures the skins have a
wonderful look, are long lasting, strong and resistant both to light and to wear and tear.
The first treatment stage after tanning consists in hand cutting the skins to the required shape. The
pieces are then paired with a calf skin to make them resistant to tear. Then they are precision cut using a template to guarantee the perfect shape. Finally the pieces of alligator skin and calf skin
are sewn together.
All the sewn pieces can then be gradually assembled to make the armchair upholstery.
When all the pieces have been sewn together to make the armchair upholstery the alligator skin is
ready for the last treatment. The skin is hand dabbed with a protective cream twice and finally
it is polished.

Rivestimento in vero alligatore non allevato in cattività (alligator mississippiensis).
Per realizzare questa poltrona sono state utilizzate circa 3 pelli di alligator mississippiensis con 60 anni di
età media. Le pelli con queste caratteristiche e provenienza sono particolarmente belle e
riportano straordinari segni di vita.
Il trattamento e la concia di queste pelli avviene con metodi tradizionali che prevedono un ciclo di
6 fasi di lavorazione della durata di circa 60 giorni. Questo particolare procedimento
garantisce uno splendido look, una lunga durata e forte resistenza sia alla luce che allo sfregamento.
La prima fase di lavorazione successiva alla concia consiste nel tagliare manualmente queste
pelli nelle giuste forme. In seguito i pezzi vengono accoppiati con una pelle di vitello per garantire resistenza allo strappo. Ultimata anche
questa fase si procede al secondo taglio di precisione per garantire forma perfetta a dima e
procedere quindi alla cucitura.
Tutti i pezzi di alligatore cuciti possono quindi essere gradualmente montati come rivestimento
della poltrona che una volta ultimata è pronta per l’ultima fase di lavorazione riguardante la pelle.
Quest’ultima fase consiste in un primo passaggio manuale a tampone di una crema protettiva e
successivamente di un altro passaggio di crema protettiva e lucidante.

Armchair - model Botero
Real alligator upholstery, not a farmed alligator (alligator mississippiensis).
This armchair was made from 6 mississippiensis alligator skins, the average age of the alligators
being 60. Alligator skins with these specific characteristics and origin are particularly
beautiful and show extraordinary features.
The treatment and tanning process used to prepare these alligator skins are traditional and include 6 stages performed over about 60 days. This particular process ensures the skins have a
wonderful look, are long lasting, strong and resistant both to light and to wear and tear.
The first treatment stage after tanning consists in hand cutting the skins to the required shape. The
pieces are then paired with a calf skin to make them resistant to tear. Then they are precision cut using a template to guarantee the perfect shape. Finally the pieces of alligator skin and calf skin
are sewn together.
All the sewn pieces can then be gradually assembled to make the armchair upholstery.
