What we are finding….. Calculate the manpower needed for a

160 room 5star hotel. 100 twin rooms 50 double rooms 10 suites 30000 sq feet of public area 30000 sq feet of back area Calculate the no. of GRA, Supervisor

and housemen needed.

Hotel has the in house laundry operating from 7a.m to 6p.m. Identify the staff for the same.

Identify the no. of linen room supervisor and linen keeper is needed for the linen room function for 2 shift.

The process of calculating total no. of employees  needed in the future, and how many will actually be available.

Need Of Manpower Calculation…o It gives the total no. of employees

feasibly Available to work in to the organization.

o It is useful for the Human Resource dept. to Determine the Financial conditions and plan for the future operations.

Particulars of given 5* Hotel rooms and other areas operated by Housekeeping Dept…

Twin room – 100 Double room – 50 Suites – 10 1 suite is equal to 2 rooms Total no. of rooms – 160 Public area – 30000 sq feet Back area – 30000 sq feet The calculation is done on the 100 %

occupancy.

Duties and responsibilities of GRA….

Performs daily duties of cleaning and servicing guest rooms.

Reports directly to floor supervisor.

1 GRA = 16 rooms – 1st shift 32 rooms – 2nd shift 64 rooms – 3rd shift

Guest relation associate:-

1st shift7:30a.m to 4:30p.m

2nd shift1:30p.m to 10p.m

Reports to Asst. Housekeeper. Supervises the work done by GRA. Checks the guest rooms cleaned and

maintained by GRA.

employed by the organization. Reports to housekeeping management or

any housekeeping supervisor.

1 housemen = 5000 sq feet (public area) 1 housemen = 6000 sq feet (back area) Totally Outsourced:-

Reports to the linen/uniform supervisor. Stores and issue room linen, F & B

outlet linen/ uniforms and accessories of staff.

Sorts counts and maintain the records the linen/uniform.

Examine the laundry items to ensure the items.

Linen room :- This is for two shift. Morning shift and

afternoon shift.1st shift7:30a.m to 4:30p.m
