Main Activities:
Organizing and realization of 6 projects of the Austrian Ministry for Education focussed on the use of technology in math education under special consideration of CAS
Recruiting test classes and supplying them with software or handheld devices and respective teaching materials
11.09.08 2
Developing teaching and testing materials for various products together with instructions how to use the soft- and hardware
Establishing a website – which has gained world wide reputation – which offers material and results for all interested people (including the official reports of activities of all projects). Among others online courses for DERIVE, TI-handheld and MAXIMA can be downloaded
All materials can be downloaded free of charge
Organizing and supporting international conferences. Financial supporting ACDCA members for participating at international conferences and meetings

Cooperation with software developers starting with Albert Rich and David Stoutemyer (DERIVE), followed by
cooperation with Texas Instruments (TI-92, V200, TI-Nspire, CBL-CBR), with mathe-online, GeoGebra and others with a special focus on didactical needs of the said products
Hosting T3 (Teachers Teaching with Technology) for several years and organizing numerous in- and pre service courses for teachers on behalf of T3 and on own responsibility
Establishing a cooperation with GeoGebra and mathe-online for developing concepts to a “Media Manifold in Math Education“
11.09.08 4
Cooperation with the Pentagramm Group (Germany) and the University of Würzburg planning a new
International Project (2008/2009)
Cooperation with private initiatives like the International DERIVE & TI-CAS User Group

First outcomes • Until 2006 – 14 sequences of learning
objects (=Lernpfad)
11.09.08 10
Evaluation results • 1500 Austrian students
– Interactive learning objects are helpful for understanding
• 89 Austrian Teachers– Self-responsible learning is very well
supported by the evaluated sequences of learning objects

RFDZ• Research
– new media in classroom teaching– development of
'best practice teaching material'– projects in cooperation with teachers
• Software – development, cooperation– GeoGebra, Texas Instruments
• Teacher training
