Plan Milestone 5 Report

SWATS Highlights (Draft)

• Number of Arterial Lane Miles added (includes overlap with NWATS)– Current Base to Enhanced Model: 2,200 miles

• Total cost of all new proposed corridors:$5.2 Billion

• Cost of high capacity transit corridors in SW study area: approx. $816 Million

Final Report will address Study Focus Issues:

• Public modes of transportation– arterial and regional highway systems– transit (bus, LRT/BRT, rail)– non-motorized (bicycle and pedestrian)– freight mobility– recreational access

• Cost estimates include:– Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) on major

facilities– Bicycle lanes on arterial grid buildout
