Class 23 Modifying Large documents: Part II

Today, we are going to see howto modify the Calculus books on theChisel disk by adding Maple worksheets. We also look at an interesting style files from the TeX archive, the crossword stylefile.

Problem: You have a book with LaTeX sourcewhich you would like to add Maple worksheetsto. It has its own rootfile which can onlybe added to. How to add the worksheets?Solution: To the rootfile, add

\usepackage{maple2e,color}

\DefineParaStyle{Bullet Item}…. all needed paragraph styles

and process the individual worksheets withmkcolor.pl and clreps.pl. Then include thesein the root file.

The crossword style file can be obtained

from the TeX archives located at

http://ctan.unsw.edu.au/tex-archive/help/Catalogue/cthier.html

In addition to its designed use a crossword

puzzle formatter, it can be used to format

tiling puzzles and other puzzles such as the

15 puzzle.
