arachnid - a class of invertebrates that have 8 jointed legs

insect - a class of invertebrates that have a three part body and three pairs of jointed legs

arachnophobia - extreme or irrational fear of spiders

spider silk - a protein fiber spun by spiders

spider web - a web made by a spider, made of spider silk

weave - form by interlacing long threads, generally going in different directions

tarantula - a large hairy spider found usually in tropical and subtropical areas

exoskeleton - a rigid external covering of the body for invertebrates

exuvia - the exoskeleton after it has been shed off of the body

gravid - pregnant, carrying eggs

spiderling - a newly hatched spider

seta - stiff hair like structure on the outside of an invertebrate, most noticeable on tarantulas
