A globe is a sphere on which is depicted a map of the earth.

A hemisphere is an imaginary line dividing the globe in half.

The equator, an imaginary belt around the earth, divides the earth into the northern and southern hemispheres.

The prime meridian, an invisible line cutting the globe in half from top to bottom, divides the earth into the western and eastern hemispheres.
