• Who are we? – Image of God (Gen 1:26-27): • Mental, moral, spiritual, social, functional (hands, feet)• All people are religious. Life is coram Deo.

– In covenant with God• Why are we here? – Psalm 1; 1 John 1:1-3 (WSC #1)– Design: pure, perfected worship and fellowship

• What do we know? (Romans 1:18-32)– All people know God as Righteous, Almighty Judge– All people are accountable.

Scripture: What Happened?

• Descendants of Adam, our covenant head (Gen 1; Rom 5)

• Adam’s Fall & Its Consequences (Gen 3; Rom 1-8)– Guilt (actual)– Corruption (actual)– Alienation (actual)

Implications for Missions

• Unity before diversity, diversity out of unity• Biblical Analysis– All people everywhere made in God’s image.– All people everywhere are sinners as defined by Scripture.• Guilty of violating God’s covenant• Corrupted in heart against the God of the covenant• Alienated in relationship from the God of the covenant
