• In 1894 and in 1896, many Armenian villages were attacked that gave rise to young militant Turks.

• 1908: Young Turks came to Power in Ottomon.• Then in 1914, Turkey entered World War I on

the side of Germany.• Russia attacked Ottomon.• Some Armenians sided with Russians.

• It is claimed that around 1.5 Mn Armenians were killed.• Many countries call it a massacre and

many call it genocide.• Genocide is a deliberative campaign

of Violence towards a group different from the perpetrators. It is a hate Crime.
