• 3 x 1hour exams

• Coursework has been removed from the majority of GCSE subjects and from September 2009 ‘Controlled Assessment’ has taken its place.

PART 1 – Local Investigation (inc. fieldwork)

A title will be set by AQA (exam board) from one of the following units:

- Coasts- Countryside- Environment- Tourism- Urban areas- Transport- Rivers

Unit 1 – Exam (25% of overall grade) 1 hour

Unit 2 – Exam (25% of overall grade) 1 hour

Unit 3 – Exam (25% of overall grade) 1 hour

Unit 4 – Controlled Assessment (25% of overall grade)
