1896 1972 2013 2017One of the oldest dairyplants in Latvia- the Trikatadairy- begins work at theWhite House of the TrikataManor House. Back then allthe work was done by hand.

Trikata dairy has a newCheesemaster- Mr. V. Culcs, whocreates the first Tilsiter cheeserecipe in Latvia. All the othertypes of cheese are improved tothe utmost perfection bringingquality certificates and awards tothe dairy.

The cheese making skillsacquired for over more than acentury are combined with thelatest Swiss cheese productiontechnologies — from now on theTrikata cheese is made at thenew ‘’Latvijas Piens’’ dairy plant.

90% of cheese produced at‘’Latvijas Piens’’ dairy plant hasbeen exported.

‘’Latvijas Piens’’ factory was built in 2012. It isequiped with latest cutting-edge Swissequipment- ‘’KALT’’ and ‘’MMS’’.

sewage network;• Exceeded pollution limits from 3-6 times;• Regular claims from municipal WWTP;• High risk to be charged for overpollution;• High risk at WWTP (working on upper

limit);

• Feasibility study currently is carried out;• Two possibilities are evaluated/calculated:

- Only pre-treatment (discharge intomunicipal sewage network);

- Full biological treatment (discharge intoriver Lielupe);

• Ongoing negotiations with WWTP operator about discharge fee for above scenarious

• Estimated project steps/timetable. Year 2018:- technical and economic justification done,- designing works (technology, construction)

done;- 3rd party expertise, coordination with

authorities done;• Year 2019 – construction and commissioning;• Year 2020 – final tuning and target values reached;

• Project BEST will finance a part of neededtechnology – flotation unit (incl.auxiliaries);
