Plain: flat land

Hill: slightly- raised land (with earth & stone underneath)

Mountain- a huge hill of rock formed by the movement of the Earth’s plates

Plateau : high, flat-topped mountain

Mesa: means ‘table’ in spanish; a small plateau

Valley: dip between two mountains

Canyon: a valley between two high ridges formed by water or ice erosion

Spring: underground water supply that comes up
