Graduation Applications

All seniors need to complete by November 30th, 2011

Seniors will meet with their counselors and receive graduation applications, transcripts, and credit evaluations during October and November

College & Technical School Admission

All colleges and universities require a high school transcript, SAT Reasoning or ACT scores, and supplemental materials as indicated

Community Colleges require a high school transcript and Compass/Asset placement test

Many technical colleges require an admissions tests such as the Compass or Asset test and/or an interview

PSAT

PSAT test date is Wednesday, Oct. 12th $14.00 fee to be paid in the Business Office,

before/after school and at lunch Student gives receipt to Mr. Willie and will

receive PSAT booklet beginning Sept. 23rd Why would you want to take the PSAT? For juniors and interested sophomores

SAT/ACT

SAT- 3 hour test that measures verbal and math reasoning skills; with new writing section; typically taken by high school juniors and seniors

ACT- 2 hour 55 minute test that covers four skill areas: English, math, reading and science with optional writing section

Scholarship postings will be made bi-monthly in the Career Center and on LSHS website

Each college has merit scholarships and will have their own scholarship applications

Thousands of scholarships are available-it just takes a little digging and perseverance to find them
