Student Guide to Registering & Using the Khan Academy:

Registering at Khan Academy1. Go to khanacademy.org, and click

‘Sign in with Google’

Since Facebook is blocked on campus, you will sign in using your Gmail account

Type the address and password for the gmail account you just created.

I’m going to select ‘Adding Decimals’, and we’ll look at the questions and grading next.

Mastering the TopicsThe Khan Academy topics are not considered tests because you can do as many problems as it takes to get 100%. The goal is to master the topic, not just take a test, get 60% and move on. This is all it takes to get 100%, as long as it is

completed before the deadline.

At this point, I’ve done 5 questions and missed one. If you cannot get 5 in a row correct, you will still receive 3 points for each correct answer. If you stop now, with 4/5 correct, what is your percent score for this topic?

Since you have not answered 5 consecutive questions correctly, your score, if you stop now is 4*3 or 12%.
