Repect Responsibility Care
Message from the Principal…
Dear Parents and Carers Hasn’t this term flown by! It is hard to believe this is the last week of Term 2 and we are already half way through the 2021 school year. Thank you to the parents who completed the engagement survey last week. We look forward to the results some time in Term 3. Thank you also to the parents who came for interviews last week. I hope you found them informative and an opportunity to celebrate the progress your children have made so far this year. If you have not booked an interview as yet, and you would like to, please call the office. I can now confirm that I will be commencing at Tuncurry Public School on Monday 2 August (Term 3 Week 4). I am pleased I will be able to celebrate Education Week (Week 3) with students, staff and parents here at Nabiac Public School. During Term 3, the process to engage a new principal for Nabiac will commence. In the interim, from Week 4, Mrs Dunning will relieve as principal. Finally I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday. There will be some works being carried out at the school over the two weeks so you may see trade people on site. It is essential that no one else is on site during the vacation period to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing. Have a great holiday! Narelle Kessey Principal

2021 Nabiac Girls Soccer Gala Day
Last Friday, thirteen amazing girls headed to Wingham Sporting Fields to represent Nabiac Public School. The first game was against Tinonee, the team responsible for knocking the girls out of the PSSA competition, but Nabiac showed strength, unity and resilience as they walked onto the field. Trinity, Pipah and Ruby supported Paige as the goalkeeper in the first half, in the defensive positions and kept out countless goals. In the second half, Chloe was our goalkeeper. Neave, Paige and Kaylee were in the defensive positions working together with our defending midfielders, Pipah and Matilda, and what a great job they did. The final score was 0:2. The second game of the day was against the Old Bar team and it had everybody on the edge of the seats as the halftime whistle blew. Kaylee had just kicked the ball into the goal net with the support of Kirsty-Lee, Sienna, Trinity and Matilda. Unfortunately, the referee informed us all the goal was not a goal. The girls entered the second half ready to try and score a goal that would count! As both teams played well the final score was 0:0. The Wingham Brush team was tough competition. In the first half, Georgia, Olivia and Kirsty displayed fantastic teamwork in the attacking midfielder positions. Chanel kept a tight lid on our goal end only allowing 2 to slip pass her watchful eye. The final score was 0:2. In the game against Cundletown, spectators were excited to see Nabiac girls work together to set up Chanel to take a shot at the goals in the first half. The girls continued to communicate and work together allowing for Olivia to score the first counted goal of the day! Cundletown quickly followed with a goal for their team before the halftime whistle. The second half was intense with goals occurring at both ends of the field. The final score was 4:2. Nabiac saved their best performance for the last game. We won! Trinity scored the first goal of the game with the support of Pipah, Chloe, Neave and Olivia. Chloe had countless shots at goals in the last 2 minutes of the first half, we were all waiting for one to go in, but it didn’t happen before the half time whistle. Second half, the girls started strong with Chloe finally getting that ball into the net scoring our second goal. Our defense was good as well, with Kirsty-Lee in goals. Kirsty-Lee had the support of Sienna, Ruby, Paige and Matilda as backs throughout the game and together our team won the game, 2:0.
