Joe Rich Fire provides services such as, fire prevention, first medical response, automobile extrication, rope rescue, wild
land / interface protection and fire suppression.
We also have a Mutual Aid Agreement (between the Regional District and Regional District of Kootenay Boundary) which
allows fire-fighting and suppression resources to be shared as requested between the Joe Rich Fire Department and Big
White Fire Department. This is a cost-effective and viable option for additional equipment and fire-fighter resources if
needed by either paid-on-call department.
