Objective

• To find the job satisfaction of employees in KSCC.• To analyze the company’s working environment.

based on employees answer.• Employees were incorporative

Methodology

• Population : Population is defined as employees of KSCC.

• Sampling Unit : The sampling unit of this study is employees in Kerala State Coir Corporation, Alappuzha.

• Sampling Size : This project the sampling size is 100.

• Data Collection : Data was collected mostly through questionnaires.

Kerala.

Mission A major part of coir production in Kerala comes from the

small scale producers, based on the villages of Kerala, employing around 4 million women. We are marketing the products of the small scale producers in addition to our own products; thereby the upliftment and promotion of this industry will result in the improved lifestyle of the village women in KSCC.

Findings

• Majority work experience of employees in KSCC comes under 1 – 3 years category.

• While considering the satisfying factors of employees, the majority of the employees chosen ‘all of the above’ category. ‘All of the above’ category includes salary increase, promotion, motivational talks, recognition.

• The majority of the employees replied that company used to provide welfare scheme always.

• Majority of the employees are satisfied with the general working condition.

• Majority of the employees are dissatisfied with the pay and promotional potential in KSCC

• Majority of the employees are satisfied with the work relationships in KSCC

• Majority of the employees are dissatisfied with the opportunity to utilize skills and abilities in KSCC

• Majority employees are satisfied with the work activities of the organisation.

• Majority of the employees are expecting changes in salary increase in KSCC.

• Majority of the grievance are handled by the management

• Highest majority of the grievance are related to salary increase

• More than 50% of the employees are not promoted.

• Majority of the employees chosen that there is no opportunity for career development in KSCC

Suggestions• The management should increase salary of the employees.

• The company should take measures to promote employees, hence they can be more motivated to their work.

• The training and development department should conduct training programmes for different types of employees and hence opportunity for career development problem can be solved.

Conclusion

• KSCC is a fully owned Government Company set up in 1969 for the systematic development of coir industry in the state.

• Job satisfactions refer to the attitude and feelings people have about their work.

• Employees are satisfied in KSCC but they are dissatisfied with salary, promotion and career development opportunities. And company’s working environment is satisfied for all employees.
