It’s party time at Jake’s Sensory World with fun and games every day! Organising a birthday party has never been easier with the team atJake’s Sensory World and Netherton Activity Centre.

Our enthusiastic team ensures that your party is tailored to your needs from a relaxing session in the sensory room to fun and games in the soft play area. After enjoying time with friends and family in your choice of sensory or soft play areas there’s still plenty of time to have fun as you enjoy a bite to eat with your very own party menu and the choice to even theme your party.

BackgroundJake's Sensory World is a purpose built leisure and play facility where disabled visitors can have fun, relax and play. We have worked in partnership with parents of disabled children and young people to design the facility to be as accessible as possible with all areas accessible by ceiling tracked hoist.

Located within Netherton Activity Centre, Jake's Sensory World is a fun packed family day out for disabled children / young people. Complete with a Sensory Room featuring bubble tubes and UV lights for visitors wanting to relax in a calm and tranquil environment, aswell as a large Soft Play Room featuring bean bags, bubble pool and a water bed.

This soft padded inclusive location offers a flexible environment for disabled children, young people and adults to enjoy leisure time with families, carers, therapists and teachers in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Easy Access

Accessing Jake’s Sensory World has been made as easy as possible with both the sensory room and soft play area featuring a ceiling tracking hoist to enable visitors to access all areas of the facility.

In addition, the centre is fully accessible for wheelchair users and there are two disabled toilets/changing rooms which have been designed in line with the Changing Places Campaign and include hydraulic changing beds and tracked ceiling hoists.

Car Parking

A large car park to the front of the building also features disabled parking facilities and space is available for mini buses to park for groups wishing to book.

Booking Conditions

A £25.00 non refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking reservation

The balance for a party booking must be paid prior to the party

All party numbers need to be confirmed one week before the party

To book a party in the sensory room there is a minimum amount of ten people and a maximum of sixteen (including adults) needs led

To book a party in the soft play room there is a minimum amount of ten people and a maximum of twenty (including carers) needs led

Group will only have access to the room(s) they have booked

Supervision requirements state that there should be one adult: 5 children at all times

Food and cake orders must be made with at least one weeks notice before a party

Any additional party items can be booked up to one week before the party

The party room will be available thirty minutes prior to the party commencing

Socks must be worn in Jake’s Sensory World at all times
