His college career He went to UCLA. He played baseball, football, basketball,
and track.
His baseball career On April 15, 1947 he was drafted by the
Brooklyn Dodgers. He was the first African American MLB
player. He played second base. He won the World Series in 1955. He was an All Star 6 times.
After baseball Jackie retired in 1956. He joined the Hall of Fame in 1962. The number 42 was retired by the MLB.
Why I chose Jackie Robinson I love and play baseball. He is one of my favorite players.
