DESCRIPTION

The spring edition of Lindenwood’s Intramural Basketball season continued Tuesday night over at the new Evans Commons courts. Several different teams competed against one another within one of two divisions. Divisions are split into a competitive league and a recreational. The games brought in quite the crowd including the players’ friends. Fans showed support by cheering with unique chants and homemade signs. A couple of the games on this particular night had the crowd on the edge of their seats as one of the competitive league’s games was won on a last second shot, and a recreational league game had to be decided in overtime.

Alex Rice, member of the Wolfpack, warms up by shooting some pre-game free throws. “We have a tough team to go against tonight, so I’m getting in an earlier warm-up,” Rice said.

Fans of the Ninjas have formed their cheering section. They look on as their team competes and

tries to mount a comeback.

With their team down to the Looney tunes the Ninjas are forced to take a quick timeout. They try to come up with a strategy to get back into

this game.

Will there be a comeback in the featured game of the night on court 1?

The boys in red and crowd are starting to see a momentum swing.

Ninjas send a member of the Looney to the free throw line. Lead gets

extended to 8.

Looney Tunes are no joke taking complete control of this game.

Edgard Gallo (seen with the ball) said, “The game is going to be tough with only five

players but should be fun.”

Ninjas shooting guard has no problem with his hand in his face. He buries the 3-pointer from downtown.

Ninjas’ cheering section looks on enjoying the game.

A scrum for the loose rebound ensues as the score gets closer, and the game gets more intense.

Fans get into it as a 3-pointer ties it up. Edgard Gallo explained, “They were tough we got tired for a few minutes felt like.”

Wolfpack fans anticipate their upcoming game with some signage.

Looney Tunes pull away in the final minutes to end up with a big win over the Ninjas. The win improved their record to a perfect 3-0.
