And what is next?

• The Transition Model is expanding to Europe, Asia, Oceania, America, etc....

• Resilience and relocalization are crucial to preserve the world´s biological and cultural bio-diversity.

The Four Recognitions of the Transition Model

• Life with less energy is inevitable and it is better to plan for it than be taken by surprise.

• We have lost the resilience to be able to cope with energy shocks.

• We have to act for ourselves and we have to act now.

• By unleashing the collective genius of the community it is possible to design ways of living that are more enriching, satisfying and connected than the present.

What makes the TT initiatives so popular?

• Local initiates set up by ordinary citizens.• Holistic approach: the transition needed is

both inner and outer.• It is not a radical movement, but a

reformist one...(and therefore, supported by local Administrations).

• It is inclusive and proactive.• Viral Model, easy to replicate.
