Shown below is what you will see. 

Click on the “Download” button. 

Next, Microsoft will ask you if you want to download additional software.  I recommend not doing so.  

Click on “No thanks and continue” 

Microsoft will now ask you where you want to download the Net Framework 4 installation file. 

Shown below, you can see the file is being downloaded and saved to my “Downloads” folder. 

You can also see that the name of the file that is being downloaded is “dotNetFx40_Full_setup”. 

Click on Save. 

Now we have to double click on the downloaded file (dotNetFx40_Full_setup) to start the install 

process.  You can find the file most likely in your “Downloads” folder as is shown below.  Or if you look 

at the lower left of my browser screen, you will also see the file we had just downloaded.  You can 

double click on the file in the downloads folder, or you can double click on the file at the bottom of your 

browser. 

Now keep in mind, I use “Chrome” (from Google) as my preferred browser.  It will be slightly different in 

Internet Explorer, Mozilla, or Safari. 

In any case, you need to find the “dotNetFx40_Full_setup” file on your computer and then double click 

the file to start the install process. 

Windows will now display the “Open File – Security Warning” and ask you if you want to run this file? 

You do, so just click on “Run” 

OK, when you see this dialog, it means the install has started.  You need to click on the checkbox 

acknowledging that you have read and accept the license terms.  Check the box. 

After checking the box, now click on “Install”. 

Now you get to wait 15‐20 minutes while Net Framework 4.0 installs.  Yep, it takes that long. 

Ok, when you see this screen, the Installation is Complete.  Click on “Finish”. 

Now, let’s finish the install of WBid Classic 3.2.7 

Again go to your “Downloads” folder and look for a file called:  “WBid‐V32r7”.  Double click on that file, 

and WBid 3.2.7 will start to install. 

Again, you will get the “Open File – Security Warning” dialog from Windows, just click on “Run” and 

WBid 3.2.7 will proceed to install. 

Follow the normal steps of installing WBid. 

That is it – you are done.  There should be a WBid icon on your desktop.  Just double click the icon to run 

WBid.  If there is NO icon on your desktop, then you can go to your start menu and look for WBid in the 

programs area.
