Managed Industrial Switch series are designed to provide powerful functionality in a small package to operate in industrial control, factory automation, building automation, security surveillance, transportation control, telecom outside plant, outdoor temperature-uncontrolled or harsh environments with IP 30 enclosure and has been tested under extensive Industrial EMI and Safety standards.
X-Ring feature alone or with dual homing, couple ring, and dual & central ring can be used to configure a network with redundant recovery time less than 20ms. Dual power inputs ensure reliability. A relay alarm outputs for port failure notification. DIN Rail and Wall Mounting option are on the same IP 30 enclosure. Industrial managed Switch's relay contact to Alarm system can immediately alert user to power failure or /and port down events and send a warning message to pre-defined email address.
The management functions include Management(SNMP, Web, Telnet, CLI), Control( Port Based VLAN, 802.1Q Tag VLAN, GVRP, QoS, IGMP, LACP, Rate Limit), Security(IP/MAC & Port Binding, DHCP Server, IP Access List, 802.1X, SNMP V3), Diagnostics(Port Statistics, Port Mirroring, RMON, Trap, E-Mail Alert, Syslog), Redundant recovery ( X-Ring, STP, RSTP), SNTP and SMTP.
Industrial managed Switch has L2+ functionality** with VLAN stacking and ACL features to serve the requirement in Telecom applications.

X-Ring ApplicationThe industrial switch Support the X-Ring protocol that can help the network system to recover from network connection failure within 20ms or less, and make the network system very reliable. Dual Homing function prevents the connection from lose between X-Ring group and upper level/core switch. One can assign two ports to be the Dual Homing port serving as a backup port in the X-Ring group. The Dual Homing function only works when the X-Ring function is active. Dual Ring can connect two X-Rings with one switch, and this would significantly enhance flexibility of you network and lower costs of setting up the network.
Central ring can be seen as the advanced version of Dual Ring. It extents the original Dual Ring and supports more complicated applications. If any transmission or connection fails, the system will recover from failure within 20 milliseconds. Moreover, Central Ring can handle up to 4 rings with only one switch being setup as the Ring Master switch.

Coupling Ring ApplicationIn a network, it may have more than one X-Ring group. Using the coupling ring function can connect each X-Ring for the redundant backup. It can ensure the transmissions between two ring groups not to fail. The following diagram is a sample of coupling ring application.
The coupling function connects more than one X-Ring group in a netwrok. One can also construct a redundant backup to prevent transmission failures between two r ings. The d iagram illustrates the coupling ring application.

Industrial Media Converter is a cost-effective solution for converting 10/100Base-TX (Auto MDI/MDIX) to 100Base-FX, 10/100/1000T to Mini-GBIC or 10/100/1000T to 1000SX/LX cabling. It provides two power inputs that can be connected simultaneously to DC power sources. If one power input fails, Industrial Media Converter will switch automatically to the secondary power input.
Industrial Media Converter also provides relay alarm outputs to alert port link failures, so the technician can respond quickly with appropriate emergency operation procedures. Also, there are DIP- switches to set the operation mode for relay alarm, Fiber ports, link loss forwarding function, and UTP operation mode.

1. Fiber Media Converter solution was deployed in MAN, FTTH application in Asia because of its the special function of LLF(Link Loss Forwarding) and LFP(Link Failure Pass through). The LLF and LFP technology can cut down two ends of link connection immediately if one end is down.
Introduction
LFP (Link-Fault-Pass through)Link-Fault-Pass through feature allows the media converter to monitor both the fiber TX and RX ports for loss of signal. In the event of a loss of RX signal on one media port, the converter will automatically disable the TX signal of the other media port. Link Loss Forwarding mechanism would detect any broken link on the RJ-45 Ethernet port and force the fiber port to takeover. The fiber uplink port will stop transmitting when the remote link is down. Transparent link status will be delivered by the Link Loss Forwarding mechanism to facilitate the troubleshooting process.
LLF (Link Lose Forwarding ) Link Lose Forwarding allows UTP link failures to be reported to the fiber side and also allows Fiber link failure to be reported to the UTP side.
