(Information Bulletin 106)
Information Bulletin 106 provides specific requirements; guidelines and department procedures for obtaining a demolition permit as per Part II, Chapter 6, and Article XIV of the city’s Code of Ordinances. Demolition permits are required for a full building or partial building demolition, including exterior walls, columns, and roof. Interior demolition only does not require a separate demolition permit. Information Bulletin 106 offers step-by-step procedures to getting a permit, including:
o Part 1 - the checklist of required documents;
o Part 2 - demolition permit application; and
o Part 3 - the regulations and requirements established by the City of San Antonio’s Code of Ordinances, the Unified Development Code (UDC) and the 2012 International Building Code (IBC).

Details
• First time license holders must apply in person at the Development Business and Services Center.
• All paperwork must be submitted to get license processed.
• Certificate of Insurance must have the license holder’s name and DBA listed on the policy.
• Bond shall have the license holder’s name and DBA listed.
• A demolition
license is valid for a period of two years from the issued date.
