Vratsa is a city in northwestern Bulgaria, at the foothills of the

Balkan Mountains. It is the administrative center of the

homonymous Vratsa Province. The city of Vratsa is a commercial

and crafts center and a railway junction. The mountains and

forests are suitable for development of different types of tourism — hunting and fishing, skiing, speleology, delta-gliding,

photo-tourism, etc.
