Definition• A group of viruses, some of which are

• In general its warts, but some strains damages the systems in the body.

Symptoms

• Warts in a certain area• May cause cancer• abnormal Papanicolaou (Pap) pap smears are

How do you get it?

• Skin to Skin contact• Babies of infected women may

How can you prevent it?

• The only way to prevent it is to get the Gardasil vaccine (female) around the age of nine to twenty nine

How do you treat it?

• Since there is no cure for an HPV infection, the primary treatments are for warts. Some treatments involve the use of topical ointments, creams, resins, and gels such as imiquimod (Aldara), podophyllin and podofilox (Condylox), and 5-fluorouracil, as well as trichloroacetic acid. Alternatively, warts may be removed by electrocautery, cryosurgery, laser, or conventional surgery. (Charles L. Vigue, Ph.D.)

JournalWhat I know about STDs is that it’s a big

problem in the U.S.A. STDs affect the reproduction area and can be fatal. Since some don’t have any noticeable symptoms in the early stage, people try to get help at the last moment. I know nothing of human papilloma virus. So pretty much I barely know anything about the STD I’m presenting.
