When will my beagle stop chewing ?

Beagle puppy will NOT stop biting and chewing everything!!?

Your beagle takes things and chews/shreds some of them.

She sometimes takes things and acts like it's a come and get me game. Other times, she just wants to chew on the item.

She loves to shred napkins, kleenex and fabric softener sheets.

How do I stop my beagle from chewing everything ?

She takes socks, towels, golf balls and pens. She has wrecked pens, my makeup brushes, the wooden back to a clock and a couple stuffed animals.

She completely destroys any of the toys/treats we give her to chew on.

Beagle puppy will NOT stop biting and chewing everything!!?

She eats EVERYTHING, she has so many chew toys and bones but she chooses to go for the shoes, glasses, crayons, HOMEWORK, and anything she can get her paws on.

Nibbling and chewing is normal, and beagles get a lot of fun and pleasure from doing it.

They rapidly understand what is and isn't right for them to chew making it hardly ever a misstep when an adult dog rips up loafers or chews up a newspaper.

Whenever you find your beagle chewing on something you don't want him nibbling on like a chair, replace it with a toy.

Beagles learn from repetition and so the more you do this the faster your dog will learn.

If you catch him in the act of incorrect chewing, offer him a chew toy or a teething dog toy, a bone etc.

Kongs will do the job!

Give your dog the object then compliment him when he shows interest.

KONGS are fantastic hard secure rubber type chew toys and you can conceal a goody inside for him to find and keep him busy!

For a beagle it's not so much about the chewing as it is the odor.

They are typically bred to have really delicate noses (10x more than people and one of the best of all breeds) and will search for what they want with that nose till they get it since they have the smarts to do it.

Get a dog crate and when you cannot watch your dog, take her in the crate.

This way she is secure and so are your things.
