Transport Vision Statement

“We want the facilities and amenities of

Histon and Impingtonto be

safe and easy to access for all residents, business users and

visitors”

Histon & Impington Parish Council will initiate and support

planning, transport and highways initiatives

that mean we will:

To achieve this vision

- improve road safety within the Villages

- reduce barriers to pedestrian and cyclist movements

- integrate provision and use of public and community transport

- ensure vulnerable users feel confident moving around

- enhance access to retail areas, public buildings, heritage sites and open spaces

- reduce noise and air pollution by improving and reducing traffic flows

- remove street 'clutter' and harsh infrastructure

- ensure levels and types of traffic are appropriate

- develop comprehensive solutions for the villages as a whole.
