THIS WEEK THE SANCTUARY LAMP BURNS IN HONOUR OF LIFE & THE FAMILY

June is traditionally the month dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

First Friday: 7th June. Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament throughout the day with a Holy Hour and Benediction at 6:30pm followed by 7:30pm Mass.

Schedule changes for the summertime: beginning on Wednesday 26 June and for the duration of the summer, Holy Mass on Wednesday evening will be cancelled and replaced by a Mass at 11:30am. So, every Wednesday in summer we'll have 2 Masses at 7:30am and 11:30am with Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament between the Masses. The office will also be closed on Fridays.

The Lord said, “…you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Pray for an increase of vocations to the ordained and consecrated life. If you think God is calling you to be a priest, religious or deacon, contact Fr. Chris Lemieux, Vocation Director, Archdiocese of Toronto 416-968-0997 email vocations@archtoronto.org

Living the Gospel by supporting mental health wellness

Last year, over 3,200 people accessed individual, couple and family counselling at Catholic Family Services of Peel- Dufferin, a ShareLife-funded agency. Given that depression has replaced back injury as the number one reason for absenteeism at work, these services are helping clients maintain employment and stay out of poverty. By supporting ShareLife agencies like Catholic Family Services Peel-Dufferin, you’re helping people find health and happiness.

Today is ShareLife Sunday. Thank you for your generosity.

SUMMER CAMP The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul has 1400 volunteer members and a mission to “Turn our Concern into Action” by helping the most-needy families in our community. This work allows us to identify children who would greatly benefit from going to the Society’s Marygrove Camp and Camp Ozanam. These camps provide summer programs for girls and boys who would not normally have the opportunity to enjoy a residential summer camping experience. Their families simply couldn’t manage it. On the weekend of June 8th, a special collection will be taken up in our parish to support the work of Marygrove Camp. Over 1,000 girls ages 5 – 13 will attend Marygrove this summer and enjoy all the experiences that make a week at camp so special: swimming, canoeing, bare feet, campfires, watching for shooting stars, and so much more. Without your support, these young girls would miss out on this adventure. Since 1962, thousands of children have experienced all that Marygrove has to offer. We have had the privilege to witness first-hand how camp can change the lives of these children. We thank you for your support and for being part of this change.

THANK YOU! The Knights of Columbus would like to express their appreciation to the sponsors, donors and golfers for their contribution to the success of our 13th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament. This fundraising event raised over $25,000.00 for various charities, including $7,500.00 for a single Paediatric Patient Monitor which will be used in the NICU, Labour and Delivery and Paediatric Unit of the Ajax/Pickering Hospital.

On Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th, Father Patrick Cosgrove will speak about Chalice, a Canadian, Catholic sponsorship programme. He will explain how you can help a destitute child at one of 57 mission sites in 15 developing

countries. The website is www.chalice.ca
