Our weather is broken: hotter & colder at the same time?
Source: Met Office weather station data for London Heathrow, 1948-2010 http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/climate/uk/stationdata/. The same pattern is visible in all the major UK weather stations and appears not to have occurred before at any time in the UK since records began in the 1850s.
