He sees me!

Genesis 16:13 NIV

She gave this name to the LORD

who spoke to her: “You are the God

who sees me,” for she said, “I have

now seen the One who sees me.”

He knows everything

Psalm 139:1-3 NIV

You have searched me, LORD, and you

know me. You know when I sit and when

I rise; you perceive my thoughts from

afar. You discern my going out and my

lying down; you are familiar with all my

ways.

Psalm 139:4-6 NIV

Before a word is on my tongue you,

LORD, know it completely. You hem me in

behind and before, and you lay your

hand upon me. Such knowledge is too

wonderful for me, too lofty for me to

attain.

We can’t flee from His presence

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where

can I flee from your presence? If I go up

to the heavens, you are there; if I make

my bed in the depths, you are there. If I

rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle

on the far side of the sea …

Psalm 139:7-9 NIV

… even there your hand will guide me,

your right hand will hold me fast. If I say,

“Surely the darkness will hide me and the

light become night around me,” even the

darkness will not be dark to you; the night

will shine like the day, for darkness is as

light to you.

Psalm 139:10-12 NIV

We are wonderfully made

For you created my inmost being; you

knit me together in my mother’s womb. I

praise you because I am fearfully and

wonderfully made; your works are

wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13-14 NIV

My frame was not hidden from you when I

was made in the secret place, when I was

woven together in the depths of the earth.

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the

days ordained for me were written in your

book before one of them came to be.

Psalm 139:15-16 NIV

His thoughts are numerous and precious

How precious to me are your thoughts,

God! How vast is the sum of them! Were

I to count them, they would outnumber

the grains of sand – when I awake, I am

still with you.

Psalm 139:17-18 NIV

David wasn’t invited

Nobody knew about the lion and the bear

David’s human element failed him

in his future calling

But God sees

So he asked Jesse, “Are these all the

sons you have?” “There is still the

youngest,” Jesse answered. “He is

tending the sheep.” Samuel said, “Send

for him; we will not sit down until he

arrives.”

1 Samuel 16:11 NIV

David had to believe that God’s calling and anointing on his life was real

God who sees in the secret, rewards in the open

But when you pray, go into your room,

close the door and pray to your Father,

who is unseen. Then your Father, who

sees what is done in secret, will reward

you.

Matthew 6:6 NIV

What we contend for in the secret allows us to step out bravely in public

Don’t underestimate God’s

instruments in your life

One of the servants answered, “I have

seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who

knows how to play the lyre. He is a

brave man and a warrior. He speaks well

and is a fine-looking man. And the LORD

is with him.”

1 Samuel 16:18 NIV

Let’s contend in our prayer lives for the things we

want to see changed or done in public

For though we live in the world, we do

not wage war as the world does. The

weapons we fight with are not the

weapons of the world. On the contrary,

they have divine power to demolish

strongholds.

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NIV
