REACH OUTHELLO.You are probably graduating. Pat yourself on the back! As we experience our last days as undergraduate students of the UP School of Economics, we look back on the moments that have made our years of schooling years of education. We remember the times that have made our days more than just tedious routines and sleepless nights - we look back on our memories.

The Haraya team strives to give you a tangible piece of those memories. However, a small team of six will not be able to achieve this alone. We need all the important people to contribute in the making of a book that aims to capture the very essence of our experiences. We need the soul to fill its pages, its lines, its photographs. We need the book bound with something more than glue string.

We need you.

Here’s to hoping we achieve this together.

ANINTRODUCTION

PLOTTING, PLOTTING,PLOTTING.

as areminder:

That’s what we’ve been doing in the last fwe months. We’ve come up with a bunch of plans that will try to make a yearbook that will be timeless but representative of our generation.

We’ve also put high value in aesthetics - in the beauty of simplicity. This idea governs all the decisions we have and will make, from the look of the book to the littlest details of the photographs.

This booklet includes a set of guidelines that each must follow so that we can come up with the best yearbook possible.

We thank you for your cooperation in advance.

THE COLOR PALETTE DICTATES EVERYTHING

THE LOOK: CLEAN, SIMPLE, AND MODERN

The color palette will be applied to everything - from the design of the yearbook up to the colors of what each shall wear. The only color that may stand out is The University’s maroon.

CLEANThis year we will be highlighting you in your natural state. This means that there will be minimal retouching done to our photographs, leaving all the lines and pores untouched - the character unharmed.

MODERNEven though some of our major goals include uniformity and timelesness, we still want to put that Millenial twist into the book. Pulling inspiration from the current graphic design styles and principles, Haraya aims to marry 201x with 20xx.

SIMPLEVeering away from all the over-the-top, possibly tacky photography, editing, styling, and make-up, Haraya will be implementing a unifying theme that will guide the creative direction of all our photographs.

Avoid using too much product. Keep it “tame” enough without drenching your hair in gel or wax.

You may opt to put make up on provided that the application isn’t too heavy.

Please choose foundation closest to your natural skin tone.

For the lips, you may choose light to nude colors.

The principle is to keep it simple and natural-looking.

IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE IT TIMELESS

This year we’ve decided to forgo the usual “creative shot” and replace it with something simpler, but not at all devoid of life.
