Hairdressing is a good career choice for those with the motivation, flair and creative skills.

It's also a valuable and versatile trade that can be done in a number of working environments.

Be Ready to Learn

Having the correct tools and equipment are essential for the hairdressing industry.

You will need your kit for every salon session.

College will provide with the information where you will be able to purchase this from.

Hairdressers need to look smart when working on clients and in salon. College have a uniform and will inform you where to purchase this from.

Kits cost approx. £150.00 Uniform approx. £45.00 Flat black shoes must be worn.

• At College we encourage students to regularly reflect on the skills they are learning as they progress on their course.

• You will become more confident in cutting and styling hair

• There is a collaborative approach built into your course. You will work alongside your colleagues running professional salons and preparing for competitions

• Students can then appreciate how much they have learnt and how well prepared they are the next level of their course and the industry.

• You will need to be commitment to your studies, meeting deadlines, attending and completing your salon duties on time.
