hadrian academy: other activities and events during march

Beech Class visited Priory Church as part of RE month. The children had a wonderful time and enjoyed looking round the church, listening to an Easter story and were even able to perform their new Easter song, just like a real church choir!

Year 3 visited St Albans Cathedral

Year 1 visited the Jamia Masjid Gihousia Mosque in Luton to find out more about the muslim faith as part of RE month. They met the Imam who told them about the Five Pillars of Islam, and some pupils from the school which is based there sang them a song. The children from the two schools had a chance to talk at the end and were given a drink and crisps. We are hoping to plan a reciprocal visit in the future.

Well done to our 3 book review winners Matthew, Brooke and Millie and of course to everyone who wrote a review of their favourite book for World Book Day.

We were very lucky at Hadrian to have WH Smiths come to visit us. They kindly went around the whole exchanging our World Book Day vouchers for books.

Then it was time for the tricky job of judging the book marks.
