Gwinnett Technical College Dual Enrollment

What is Dual Enrollment?Eligible students earn both high school and college credit at the same time for

approved courses. Eligible students must be a lawful resident of Georgia for the past 12 months.

Common Questions• Where does the student take the course?

– The course is offered at BHS by the high school teacher during the regular scheduled class time.

• How much does it cost?– Tuition is paid for by the funding of the dual enrollment program after

the student completes the funding paperwork.– Gwinnett Tech waives the mandatory institutional fees.– The student’s future HOPE Scholarship/Grant is NOT impacted.

• What are the student’s responsibilities?– Complete the application and pay $25 application fee– Submit a consent form and residency documents– Take and pass the COMPASS exam (given at BHS)– Complete the funding paperwork online.– After being accepted, register for classes online.
