Guest Manual Konichiwa (which means hello in Japanese)! Welcome to Japan! In this manual I have provided all the detailed information about how to access my

apartment and how to use the facilities in the apartment. If you have any questions, I believe you can find the answers in this manual. So please check this manual first before asking me. Thank you for your cooperation, and wish you a pleasant stay in my apartment! 1. Information you must know about the apartment (1) How to find the apartment

Address: Room 608, Plars Tower Higashi Shinjuku(プライーズタワー東新宿), 2 Chome-18-5 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0021, Japan.

You can find the location of the apartment on Google Map by searching: 2 Chome-18-5 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku.

(2) Passwords to enter the apartment

You need to find the mail box of Room 608 first. The key of the apartment is inside the mail box.

Password of the mail box: turn left to 1 for two times, and turn right to 8 for one time;

Password to open the second auto-door: press the character “呼”on the keyboard, and press 0500 (or you can use the key of the apartment to open the auto-door).

(3) WiFi

Wi-Fi Network Name: pinestone-wifi

Wi-Fi Password: pinestone123

2. Detailed Access Information (1) Address of the apartment

Room 609, Plars Tower Higashi Shinjuku(プライーズタワー東新宿), 2 Chome-18-5 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo 160-0021, Japan.

You can find the location of the apartment on Google Map by searching: 2 Chome-18-5 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku.

(2) How to get to the apartment

---From the Toei Oedo Line Higashi Shinjuku Station, come out from the A1 exit, and walk for about 3 minutes (6 minutes walk starting from the platform).

--- From the JR Shinjuku Station, come out from the Central East Gate, and walk towards the north for about 11 minutes.

(3) How to enter the building

There are two auto-doors at the entrance of the building. The first auto-door will be automatically opened when you approach. There is an auto-lock for the second auto-door.

After entering the first auto-door of the building, you will find the password panel of the auto-lock of the second door on the left side wall beside the auto-door.

● Use the key;

● First, pressing the lower right bottom, as marked in the photo, then input the password: 0500, and the door will be opened automatically.

(4) How to get the keys

After you enter the first auto-door, please look for the mail boxes of the building, which is in the corridor on the left side of the auto-lock of the second auto-door. Please look for the mail box for Room 608

Password for the mail box: turn left to 1 for three times, and then turn right to 8 for one time.

The key for the apartment is inside the mail box. This key has the following uses:

● Open the second auto-door of at the entrance of the building;

● Open the door of the apartment.

2. House Rules (1) Smoking is prohibited in the whole building. (Smoking on the balcony may also cause problem, as

your neighbor who are annoyed by your smoke may call the police to complain. And that may lead to

unnecessary troubles) . If you would like to smoke, please go outside of this building.

(2) Please don't make noise after 11 pm as the sound proof in most Japanese houses are not so good. Also please don’t talk or laugh loudly in the corridor. Parties with friends in the apartment are strictly prohibited. (In Japan, if your neighbors are annoyed by your noise, they may call the police rather than talking with you to solve the problem. So please be extremely cautious about this problem. I hope you understand this norm in Japan)

(3) Please take off your shoes at the entrance of the room.

(4) Please turn off the lights and the air conditioner when you go out.

(5) Please avoid drinking on the balcony, just in case of dropping off the balcony.

(6) Any narcotic drugs are prohibited in Japan.

(7) Please use the facilities of the apartment properly. Damages to the facilities or the apartment will lead to deduction from your security deposit.

(8) Please check out from the apartment on time (before 11 pm), so that I have enough time to clean the apartment and prepare for the arrival of the next guest. If you check out between 11 pm and 4 pm, and lead to inconvenience of the cleaning of the house and the check in of the next guest, I may deduct half of daily rental fee from your security deposit, judging from the situation. If you check out after 4 pm, I will charge you one more day’s rental fee.

(9) The normal check-in time is 4 pm. If there is no guest staying in the apartment on the previous day, you may be allowed to check in earlier in the morning.

(10) If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me anytime, but do not ask any neighbors or building managers to avoid annoying them.

3. House Facilities (1) Internet

There is free Wi-Fi in the apartment. Please select the right network and input password.

(2) Washing Machine

If you don’t understand Japanese, the easiest way to operate the washing machine is as follows:

First, put your clothes into the machine and add washing powder;

Second, turn the power on;

Third, set the Couse as “standard”;

Finally, press the “Start” button;

Then the machine will start washing your clothes, and it will dewater your clothes after washing.

(3) Air Conditioner

You can use the remote control to operate the air conditioner. In case you don’t understand the Japanese on the remote control, we have translated for you, as shown in above picture. The easiest way to open the air conditioner is as follows:

First, turn the power on;

Second, select the operating mode: cold room, conservatory (heating), dehumidifier, or auto;

Third, set the temperature.

(4) Microwave Oven

If you don’t understand Japanese, here is the easiest way to operate the microwave oven:

First, select the power between 200W, 500W and 700W;

Second, select the heating time ranging from 1 mins to 15mins.

(5) Water Heater

Water heater control panel is in the kitchen on wall of your left hand side.

If you don’t understand Japanese, here is the easiest way to operate the control panel of the water heater:

First, press the “Start” button to turn the power on;

Second, Switch on the water tap in the sink of the kitchen, and turn it to the left side, and the water will be automatically heated.

The temperature of water is preset at 41 degree Celsius, so you don’t need to use the control panel so much. If you want to change the temperature of the water, you can press the “Warm” or “Hot” button. Please be careful of the hot water!!!!

(6) Facility control panel for the bathroom

You can find this in on the wall beside the entrance of the shower room.

In case you don’t understand Japanese, I have translated it into English, as shown in above photo. Please press different button to operate the facilities.

When you get outside the apartment, please turn it off.

(7) Shower room

After you switch the water heater on using the control panel in the kitchen (please refer to the fifth section for how to use the control panel), you can use hot water for shower in the bathroom.

As shown in the photo above, the upper switch is for hot water, the lower switch is for cold water. The switch on the left is for switching water between the shower head and the water tap.

(8) Electric Kettle

To use the electric kettle:

First, put water into the kettle;

Second, plug the power wire to a power interface, and turn the switch on.

(9) Buzzer/Wireless Intercom

If you have a visit, he can call you at the entrance of the building. To answer the call, please press the “Open” button. If you don’t want to answer the call, please press the button “Turn off the sound”.

(10) Freezer

The freezer is for storing food or drinks. It is already power on. Please feel free to use it, but please keep it clean and don’t leak food liquid in it.

(11) Kitchen

For safety reason, I don’t encourage you to cook in the apartment, so we don’t provide kitchen stuff for cooking, such as pans, pots, ladle, etc. I encourage you to try the Japanese local cuisine as much as possible, as this may also be part of the culture experiences you will have in Japan.

(11) Light Switch of the kitchen

You can find this on the wall on the left side of the sink in the kitchen. It is for control the lights in the

kitchen.

(10) Light switch of the bathroom

You can find this on the wall on the left side of the sink. It is for control the lights in the bath room.

4. Handling of Garbage There are garbage bins on the balcony. Please throw you garbage into the garbage bins. If they are full,

please throw the garbage to the garbage handling room on the first floor. You can find it on the left side of

the main entrance on the first floor.

5. Home safety (1) Emergency phone numbers

Ambulance/ Fire: 119

Police: 110

(2) Location of the fire extinguisher: in the corridor just outside the entrance of the apartment.

(3) Location of fire alarm:in the bedroom.

(4) Location of gas shut-off valve: in the corridor just outside the entrance of the apartment.

(5) Emergency exit instructions: emergency exit is beside the elevator.

6. Check out Please send me an email as you check out. My friend or myself will come to check the condition of the

apartment and clean up after you leave, and your security deposit will be returned to you. Please use the house and facilities properly. If I find the house or facilities damaged, or any facilities missing from the apartment, I will deduct your security deposit.

When you leave, please place the key in the keybox as the way you find it, and mix up the password. Then please put the keybox in the mail box as the way you find it, and shut the mail box (also mix up the password of the mail box). Thank you for your coorporation.
