Objetivos del curso
Groupage & Consolidation Centres
Consumption models are evolving towards personalized service
systems and, as a consequence, so are manufacturing and
distribution models. We are exporting more and more products
manufactured by companies of very diverse sizes with very short
delivery times and directly to the hands of the consumer. It is the
evolution from a big consignment model to a new one featuring
a constant flow of medium or small consignments. In parallel,
the means of transport tend to gigantism. Ships, trains, trucks
and planes are getting bigger and bigger in search of greater
efficiency and smaller environmental impact. The units of cargo
though still stay the same.
We need to reach many places, in very short times and with top-
quality service. Also we need to reduce costs and environmental
impact with smaller consignments.
The answer today is GROUPAGE: a very professional sector in full
expansion, with certified management systems and offering
highly competitive services.
Getting to know how groupage works thoroughly is essential for
the sector. This is why the Escola offers professionals and
students the opportunity to achieve very valuable knowledge and
ability which will prove useful short-term and vital long-term.

Added value Achieving a solid training will allow you to hire or manage
door-to-door groupage operations in a safer and more
effective way. Subsequently, this will help improve service
and reduce freight forwarding costs and environmental
impact.
Like all Escola’s courses, the training is eminently practical
and consists mostly of workshops at the premises of service
providers.
Course objectives • To provide training in groupage and consolidation
operations
• To show groupage operations, infrastructures and
equipment in detail and from a practical perspective
• To offer deep insights into road, maritime and air logistics
and groupage, its actors, roles, market segmentation and
trends
How?
• Promoting the concept of co-modality and the use of groupage
to improve transport management
• Providing training and information to logistics chain managers
and decision makers
