The two concepts influence each other through social and physical realms of geography.

CLIMATOLOGY, METEOROLOGY

Both are sub-categories of physical geography that study weather.

BIOGEOGRAPHY

Studies the geographical impact of animals and plants.

GEOMORPHOLOGY

The study of landform construction of the earth.

HYDROLOGY

Study of water

PEDOLOGY

Study of soil, water, and climate Works with geomorphology,

climatology, meteorology, and hydrology

Physical geography studies the physical effects the earth has on itself and its

surrounding natural influences, however, there is another force that

creates the geographical world we live, human geography.

SOCIAL GEOGRAPHY

Study of social influences on the construction of the earth.

CULTURAL GEOGRAPHY

Study of Cultural influences on geography

ECONOMIC GEOGRAPHY

Study of economic influences on the environment and geographical structure.

BEHAVIORAL GEOGRAPHY

Ties with social and cultural geography in the study of human impacts on the geographical make up of the earth.

POLITICAL GEOGRAPHY

Study of political influences based on social and cultural geography.

URBAN GEOGRAPHY

Study of growing urban areas and their social, economic, political, and cultural influences in the geographical make up such areas.

All of these areas of study impact the geographical make up our physical and

social world. Understanding them separately leads to knowing how they

work together to construct the geography of earth!
