the OECD, from 63% to 35%.

In 2011, Ireland had the highest fi scal defi cit across the OECD, representing 13.3% of GDP.

In Ireland, government taxes and transfers reduced income inequality from a Gini coeffi cient of 0.59 to 0.33, the highest

decrease among OECD countries.
