• Is a special type of epithelium makes up the glands in body.

• Single or Group of cells.• Secrets enzymes, hormones, fats or mucous.• Its secretions are required by other tissue.

• Ductless (no duct system).

• Release internally.

• Secret hormones.

• Multicellular with exception Paracrine glands.
