Part 1 - Operating System

• Standard Operating System instrumentation – this

allows for the following measurements to be

recorded.

– CPU utilisation (per CPU on SMP enabled machines)

– Main Memory utilisation – committed and free

– SWAP utilisation - free and committed

– Processes- Ids, CPU time, memory, virtual memory, I/O

– Disk utilisation – usage based logical volume group,

mount point – committed and free

Part 2 - Java Virtual Machine

• Heap Memory – Committed, Free

• Non-Heap Memory

• Peak Threads

• Threads

Part 3 – GigaSpaces Instrumentation

• Cluster Metrics

– Status – All Good / Some Failures / Cluster Unavailable

– Entry Counts Per Type

– Connected Clients

• Individual Partition Metrics 

– Status – Up/Down

– Replication Status – i.e. connection to Primary or Replicated cluster
